I have both personal and professional experience in writing content for health researchers and organizations who are committed to making evidence-based health information accessible to promote positive health behavior and social change. Where my scientist side incorporates research and evidence, my creative writer side adds a pop of personality to engage scientific and non-scientific audiences alike.

Any health behavior you promote, service you provide, or principle you bolster requires compelling writing. And sometimes you need someone to write that for you because a) you don’t have time, b) you don’t know what to write, c) you’re more the cut-and-dry business type, or d) any combination of the above. EVRy message needs backup.
With a plethora of misinformation about health, it is critical that health messages are clear, consistent, accurate, and audience-specific. I am skilled in translating jargon-heavy science into targeted communications for community audiences. Formative research, audience segmentation, and theory guide my health communications practice. This is where my scientific side comes in.
Then there’s my creative side. Style—mine or adapted to my client’s—drives the message home. I enjoy incorporating wit in projects, as appropriate, and leveraging my voice as a writer to creatively engage an everyday audience. After all, public health messaging is in the everyday.
